The purpose of the Cotton District Act is to promote the cotton industry in the state by preventing fraud and deception in ginning and marketing, eliminating or reducing economic waste in marketing and developing markets. History: 1953 Comp., § 45-24-2, enacted by Laws 1965, ch. 107, § 2.
