The "natural heritage conservation fund" is created as a nonreverting fund in the state treasury. The fund consists of appropriations, gifts, grants, donations, bequests, income from investment of the fund and any other money credited to the fund. The fund shall be administered by the department, and money in the fund is appropriated to the department to fund conservation projects. Expenditures from the fund shall be by warrants of the secretary of finance and administration upon vouchers signed by the secretary or the secretary's authorized representative. History: Laws 2010, ch. 83, § 5. Effective dates. — Laws 2010, ch. 83 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective May 19, 2010, 90 days after the adjournment of the legislature.
