Any irrigation district may contract with the United States for local improvement work, and for such purpose may form local improvement districts as herein provided. Authorization of certificates of indebtedness or of contract with the United States for local improvements may be confirmed in the same manner as in Sections 53 to 57 [73-11-6 to 73-11-10 NMSA 1978], inclusive, of Chapter 20, Session Laws of 1919.
