Chapter 70, Article 5 NMSA 1978 may be cited as the "LPG and CNG Act". History: 1953 Comp., § 65-7-1.1, enacted by Laws 1973, ch. 362, § 2; 1993, ch. 186, § 2. The 1993 amendment, effective July 1, 1993, substituted "Chapter 70, Article 5 NMSA 1978" for "Sections 65-7-1 through 65-7-23 NMSA 1953" and inserted "and CNG". Liquefied Petroleum Gas Act is for protection of public from the dangers which are inherent in liquefied petroleum gas if it is not properly handled. 1963 Op. Att'y Gen. No. 63-53.
