A. The board shall issue surveying licenses pursuant to the Engineering and Surveying Practice Act. The board shall provide for the proper authentication of all documents. B. The board shall regulate the use of seals and may approve alternative authentications to physical or electronic seals. Delayed repeals. — For delayed repeal of this section, see 61-23-32 NMSA 1978. The 2019 amendment, effective June 14, 2019, authorized the board of licensure for professional engineers and professional surveyors to approve alternative authentications to physical or electronic seals; and in Subsection B, after "use of seals", added "and may approve alternative authentications to physical or electronic seals". The 2012 amendment, effective July 1, 2012, eliminated the issuance of certificates of licensure; in the title, after "Surveying", deleted "certificates" and added "licenses"; and in Subsection A, in the first sentence, after "shall issue", deleted "certificates of licensure" and added "surveying licenses". The 1999 amendment, effective June 18, 1999, substituted "licensure pursuant to" for "registration under" in the first sentence of Subsection A.
