No person except a licensed professional surveyor shall be eligible to hold any responsible office or position for the state or any political subdivision of the state that requires the performance or responsible charge of surveying work. The 1999 amendment, effective June 18, 1999, substituted "licensure" for "registration" in the section heading and "licensed" for "registered" in the section.
