The "barbers and cosmetologists fund" is created in the state treasury. All license fees and charges imposed by the board shall be deposited in the fund. Money in the fund is appropriated to the board for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the Barbers and Cosmetologists Act. Any balance remaining in the fund at the end of each fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund. History: Laws 1993, ch. 171, § 14; 2022, ch. 39, § 75. Delayed repeals. — For delayed repeal, see 61-17A-25 NMSA 1978. The 2022 amendment, effective May 18, 2022, eliminated the depositing of fines in the barbers and cosmetologists fund; and after "fees", added "and", and after "charges", deleted "and fines".
