In addition to any other penalties provided by law, a civil administrative penalty of up to ten thousand dollars ($10,000) may be imposed for each violation of the Patient Protection Act. An administrative penalty shall be imposed by written order of the superintendent made after holding a hearing as provided for in Chapter 59A, Article 4 NMSA 1978. History: Laws 1998, ch. 107, § 11.
