A. An individual or group health maintenance organization contract that is delivered or issued for delivery in this state and that offers maternity benefits shall offer coverage for smoking cessation treatment. B. Coverage for smoking cessation treatment may be subject to deductibles and coinsurance consistent with those imposed on other benefits under the same contract. History: Laws 2003, ch. 337, § 4. Effective dates. — Laws 2003, ch. 337 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 20, 2003, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature. Applicability. — Laws 2003, ch. 337 § 7, effective June 20, 2003, made the provisions of Laws 2003, ch. 337 § 4 applicable on or after July 1, 2003.
