The purpose of the Long-Term Care Insurance Law is to promote the public interest in and the availability of long-term care insurance policies, protect applicants for long-term care insurance from unfair or deceptive sales or enrollment practices, establish standards for long-term care insurance, facilitate public understanding and comparison of long-term care insurance policies and facilitate flexibility and innovation in the development of long-term care insurance coverage. History: Laws 1989, ch. 136, § 2; 1993, ch. 126, § 7. The 1993 amendment, effective June 18, 1993, substituted "Law" for "Act".
