The division may contract with a nongovernmental entity, including the national association of insurance commissioners or its affiliates or subsidiaries, to perform ministerial functions related to licensure of producers. Fees collected shall be remitted to the division on a schedule approved by the superintendent. The division may adopt by rule any uniform standards and procedures necessary to participate in a national producer registry. History: Laws 2001, ch. 297, § 9. Effective dates. — Laws 2001, ch. 297 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 15, 2001, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
