A. Inventions, innovations, works of authorship and their associated materials that are developed by a state employee, except an employee of a state educational institution, within the scope of his employment or when using state-owned or state-controlled facilities or equipment are the property of the state. B. The provisions of Subsection A of this section do not apply to a state employee employed by a state educational institution designated in Article 12, Section 11 of the constitution of New Mexico. History: Laws 2001, ch. 346, § 3. Effective dates. — Laws 2001, ch. 346 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 15, 2001, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
