An individual who is related to the decedent through two lines of relationship is entitled to only a single share based on the relationship that would entitle the individual to the larger share. Repeals and reenactments. — Laws 1993, ch. 174, § 15 repealed former 45-2-113 NMSA 1978, as enacted by Laws 1975, ch. 257, § 2-113, relating to the abolition of curtesy and dower, and enacted a new section, effective July 1, 1993.
