Except as otherwise specifically provided by law, all salaries and expenses of the magistrate court shall be paid by the state treasurer upon warrants of the secretary of finance and administration, supported by vouchers approved by the chief district judge and in accordance with budgets approved by the state budget division of the department of finance and administration. The 2021 amendment, effective June 18, 2021, transferred duties of the administrative office of the courts to individual judicial districts; and after "approved by the", deleted "director of the administrative office of the courts" and added "chief district judge".
