A. The chief metropolitan court judge may appoint a retired metropolitan court judge, with the retired judge's consent, to serve as a special master, an arbitrator or a metropolitan court judge pro tempore, subject to money available in the metropolitan court operating budget. B. A retired metropolitan court judge shall be compensated for his services in an amount equal to ninety percent of the compensation provided to a district court judge pro tempore.
