Sections 33-1-1 through 33-1-9 NMSA 1978 may be cited as the "Corrections Act." History: 1953 Comp., § 42-9-1, enacted by Laws 1969, ch. 226, § 1; 1971, ch. 221, § 1. Power to grant parole vested with adult parole hearing board. — The ultimate power to grant or revoke parole is vested in the adult parole hearing board and such powers shall be exercised by the board in accordance with the pertinent provisions of the Probation and Parole Act, 31-21-3 NMSA 1978 et seq. and the Corrections Act, 33-1-1 NMSA 1978 et seq. 1970 Op. Att'y Gen. No. 70-12.
