The use of public funds for the operation and maintenance of a hospital pursuant to a lease authorized by Chapter 3, Article 44 NMSA 1978 is deemed to be funding to the hospital as a public institution, and the hospital facility and lessee thereof are subject to the laws of this state regarding the expenditure of public money. History: Laws 2001, ch. 291, § 4. Effective dates. — Laws 2001, ch. 291 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 15, 2001, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
