Chapter 29, Article 11A NMSA 1978 may be cited as the "Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act". History: Laws 1995, ch. 106, § 1; 1999, ch. 19, § 1. The 1999 amendment, effective July 1, 1999, substituted "Chapter 29, Article 11A NMSA 1978" for "This act" and inserted "and Notification". 1999 amendments did not expressly apply retroactively to convictions occurring before its effective date.
