Upon request and with consent from the student or the student's parent, the office shall have access to the student's educational records from the public education department, a school district or a public school as necessary to carry out the office's responsibilities. History: Laws 2021, ch. 53, § 6. Effective dates. — Laws 2021, ch. 53 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 18, 2021, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
