As used in the Public Assistance Appeals Act: A. "authority" or "department" means the income support division or the medical assistance division of the health care authority; B. "board" means the income support division or the medical assistance division of the authority; and C. "director" means the director of the income support division or the medical assistance division of the authority. History: 1953 Comp., § 13-18-2, enacted by Laws 1973, ch. 256, § 2; 1977, ch. 252, § 22; 1991, ch. 155, § 2; 2024, ch. 39, § 96. The 2024 amendment, effective July 1, 2024, provided that references to "authority" or "department" in the Public Assistance Appeals Act mean the income support division or the medical assistance division of the health care authority, and made conforming amendments; deleted "human services department" and added 'health care authority" or "authority" and deleted "or the social services division" throughout the section; in Subsection A, added "'authority' or"; and in Subsection C, after the first occurrence of "division" added "or". The 1991 amendment, effective June 14, 1991, inserted "the medical assistance division" in Subsections A and C and "the medical assistance division or the social services division" in Subsection B.
