Unless otherwise specified in an advance directive for mental health treatment, a person then authorized to make mental health treatment decisions for a patient has the same rights as the patient to request, receive, examine, copy and consent to the disclosure of medical or any other health care information. History: Laws 2006, ch. 7, § 10. Effective dates. — Laws 2006, ch. 7 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective May 17, 2006, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
