Federal funds, gifts or grants relating to aid for education, school construction or school breakfast or lunch programs may be accepted by the state only if supervision and control of courses of instruction and the personnel of public schools is reserved to the state or its local subdivisions. History: 1953 Comp., § 77-7-4, enacted by Laws 1967, ch. 16, § 104; 2011, ch. 35, § 3. The 2011 amendment, effective June 17, 2011, added breakfast programs to the list of programs for which federal funds, gifts or grants may be accepted.
