The council shall advise the secretary, school districts and charter schools on matters related to improving public school education for Black students, increasing parent involvement and community engagement in the education of Black students and increasing the number of Black high school graduates who succeed in post-secondary academic, professional or vocational education. History: Laws 2021, ch. 51, § 4. Effective dates. — Laws 2021, ch. 51 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 18, 2021, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
