The Hunger-Free Students' Bill of Rights Act [Healthy Hunger-Free Students' Bill of Rights Act] applies to a public school district, a public school, a private school or a religious school that participates in the national school lunch program or school breakfast program.

Bracketed material. — The bracketed material was inserted by the compiler and is not part of the law. Laws 2023, ch. 117, § 1, changed the name of the "Hunger-Free Students' Bill of Rights" to the "Healthy Hunger-Free Students' Bill of Rights".
Effective dates. — Laws 2017, ch. 117 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 16, 2017, 90 days after the adjournment of the legislature.
