Each public school in each conference shall provide academic competitions similar to its athletic competitions. A student who participates in an academic competition shall qualify for an academic letter in the subject in which he competes. Academic competitions between schools shall be governed by the New Mexico activities association. History: Laws 2001, ch. 70, § 1.
