The board of regents of the university of New Mexico may create a campus of the university in Rio Rancho, which it may operate separately or jointly with any other post-secondary educational institution. History: Laws 2009, ch. 40, § 1. Effective dates. — Laws 2009, ch. 40 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 19, 2009, 90 days after the adjournment of the legislature.
