A. The department shall consult with tribes, bureau of Indian education schools and tribal colleges when adopting rules to carry out the provisions of the American Indian Post-Secondary Education Act. B. The secretary may enter into memoranda of understanding with tribal colleges, bureau of Indian education schools and tribes for data collection and data sharing and for other matters related to implementation of the American Indian Post-Secondary Education Act. History: Laws 2009, ch. 60, § 4. Effective dates. — Laws 2009, ch. 60 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 19, 2009, 90 days after the adjournment of the legislature.
