A scholarship may be awarded to a school employee who: A. has not earned appropriate educational credentials to be licensed as a teacher by the public education department; B. has demonstrated financial need consistent with the criteria promulgated by the department; and C. has complied with other rules promulgated by the department to carry out the provisions of the Grow Your Own Teachers Act. History: Laws 2019, ch. 230, § 5; 2021, ch. 11, § 4. The 2021 amendment, effective July 1, 2021, expanded the scholarship program eligibility to allow school employees, as defined in the Grow Your Own Teachers Act, to qualify; and after "awarded to", changed "an educational assistant" to "a school employee".
