Any member of the armed forces who without authority: A. fails to go to his appointed place of duty at the time prescribed; B. goes from that place; or C. absents himself or remains absent from his unit, organization or place of duty at which he is required to be at the time prescribed; shall be punished as a court-martial may direct. History: 1978 Comp., § 20-12-21, enacted by Laws 1989, ch. 337, § 20. Effective dates. — Laws 1989, ch. 337 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 16, 1989.
