Any person subject to Chapter 20 NMSA 1978 who, knowing that an offense punishable by that chapter has been committed, receives, comforts or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his apprehension, trial or punishment shall be punished as a court-martial may direct. IV, § 23, was effective June 16, 1989.
