The state fair commission is administratively attached, as defined in the Executive Reorganization Act [9-1-1 to 9-1-10 NMSA 1978], to the tourism department. History: 1953 Comp., § 45-20-4.1, enacted by Laws 1977, ch. 245, § 18; 1991, ch. 21, § 32. The 1991 amendment, effective March 27, 1991, substituted "tourism department" for "commerce and industry department" in the catchline and in the text of the section.
