If an individual is physically unable to sign a record, the individual may direct an individual other than the notarial officer to sign the individual's name on the record. The notarial officer shall insert "Signature affixed by (name of other individual) at the direction of (name of individual)" or words of similar import. History: Laws 2021, ch. 21, § 8. Effective dates. — Laws 2021, ch. 21, § 38 made Laws 2021, ch. 21, § 8 effective January 1, 2022. Applicability. — Laws 2021, ch. 21, § 37 provided that the provisions of Laws 2021, ch. 21 apply to notarial acts performed in this state on and after January 1, 2022.
