The state purchasing agent or a central purchasing office shall seek to identify sources from which the designated brand-name items can be obtained and shall solicit such sources to achieve whatever degree of price competition is practicable. If only one source can supply the requirement, the procurement shall be made under Section 99 [13-1-126 NMSA 1978] of the Procurement Code. History: Laws 1984, ch. 65, § 139.
