The exercise by a regional housing authority or other local public body of the powers granted in the Regional Housing Law may be authorized by resolution of the governing body of the regional housing authority or local public body adopted by a majority of the members of its governing body present at a meeting of the governing body. The resolution may be adopted at the meeting at which the resolution is introduced. The resolution shall take effect immediately and need not be laid over or published or posted. Compiler's notes. — Laws 1995, ch. 191, § 25, effective June 16, 1995, repealed Laws 1994, ch. 132, § 30, which provided for the repeal of this section on July 1, 1995. The 2009 amendment, effective March 31, 2009, added "regional housing authority". The 1995 amendment, effective June 16, 1995, made minor stylistic changes throughout the section.
