An election-related organization shall register with the secretary of state at least seventy days before a regularly scheduled statewide election or forty-two days before a special election or an election to fill a vacancy in the United States house of representatives. History: Laws 2023, ch. 39, § 7. Effective dates. — Laws 2023, ch. 39 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 16, 2023, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
