The county clerk shall prepare and supply the ballots used in elections conducted under the Election Code [Chapter 1 NMSA 1978]. The secretary of state may assist in preparing and supplying ballots. Ballots other than those prepared by the county clerk or secretary of state shall not be used. History: 1953 Comp., § 3-10-11.2, enacted by Laws 1977, ch. 222, § 25; 2007, ch. 337, § 12. The 2007 amendment, effective July 1, 2007, permitted the secretary of state to assist in preparing and supplying ballots.
