52:14-15.1. Deductions from compensation of officials and employees under Federal or State statutes Whenever, pursuant to any Federal or State statute, this State or any county, municipality or school district thereof, or any board, body, agency or commission of this State, or of any county, municipality or school district thereof, is required to make any deduction from the compensation payable by it to any person holding office, position or employment under it, such deduction shall be made by the disbursing officer of this State or any county, municipality or school district thereof, or any board, body, agency or commission of this State, or of any county, municipality or school district thereof, as the case may be, under such rules and regulations as he shall promulgate for the most economical and expeditious handling thereof.
