51:1-44. Assistant state superintendents; clerical assistants The state superintendent may appoint three assistant state superintendents. He may temporarily appoint honorary or special assistant superintendents who shall have all the powers of county or municipal superintendents, and who shall serve without compensation. He may also appoint not more than two clerical assistants.
