45:7-47. License required No person shall engage in the practice of mortuary science, embalming or funeral directing, unless he shall have been duly licensed so to do, by the board, under the provisions of this act or under the provisions of any prior law of this State and unless such license is unrevoked and in full force and effect; provided, that this shall not apply to a registered trainee working under the direct supervision of a practitioner of mortuary science.
