44:1-68. Classification and care of inmates In the management of almshouses or welfare-houses the inmates shall be classified according to age, condition of health and ability to perform manual labor. Some form of employment shall be provided for such of the inmates as are able to work. Inmates afflicted with any tubercular disease shall be separated from the other inmates and cared for in separate dwellings.
