43:7-27. Benefit payments based on temporary service; continuation Any prison officer or his beneficiary presently receiving benefits under the act to which this act is a supplement shall continue to receive such benefits notwithstanding the fact that the length of service upon which the rights of benefits have been computed was based in whole or in part on temporary service. Nothing in this act or in the act to which this act is a supplement shall authorize the Prison Officers Pension Commission to grant benefits hereafter based upon temporary service.
