43:16-19 Waiver of payment. 1. Any member or any beneficiary who has been or, in the future, may be retired, or receive a pension, benefit, or retirement allowance, including an annuity, pursuant to the provisions of the act to which this act is a supplement, may, by filing written request with the Division of Pensions and Benefits in the Department of the Treasury, waive payment of a portion of the pension, benefit, or retirement allowance, including annuity, to which the member or beneficiary may be entitled.
