40:61-28. Joint parks along lakes; establishment Any two or more municipalities lying within adjacent counties, may acquire by lease, gift, purchase, condemnation or otherwise, lands, lakes, ponds, streams, rights of flowage and other rights and may erect, construct and maintain dams or other means of impounding water, which lands, lakes, ponds, streams, rights of flowage and other rights shall be maintained by them as public parks and places of public resort for health and recreation.
