40:43-20. Joint committee; powers; subpoenas The joint committee shall have power to take testimony, issue subpoenas, compel the attendance of any of the officers of any of the municipalities affected, compel the production of all books and papers relating to the subject matter under consideration, and to administer oaths to any person appearing before the committee to testify. Its subpoenas, shall be enforceable, and misconduct of a witness may be dealt with, in the manner provided by the County and Municipal Investigations Law (1952).
