40:37-168.2. Group insurance; payment of part of premiums by commission Whenever a group has been or may hereafter be established in accordance with the provisions heretofore set forth, it shall be lawful for the commission, except in counties where a county employees' pension fund operates under the provisions of chapter one hundred sixty, laws of one thousand nine hundred and forty-three (R.S. s. 43:10-18.1 et seq.), and the amendments and supplements thereto, to pay as additional compensation to the individual members of the said group or groups a part of the premium on the said group policy or policies; provided, however, that the portion of the premium thus paid by the commission does not exceed twenty-five per centum (25%); and further provided, that nothing in this act contained shall be construed as compelling the commission to pay any portion of the premium on the said group policy or policies.
