39:3-62. Lamps on parked vehicles Whenever a vehicle is parked or stopped in areas other than business or residential districts, upon a highway or shoulder adjacent thereto, whether attended or unattended, during the times when lighted lamps are required, except when it is displaying vehicular traffic hazard warning signals as permitted by section 39:3-54 or as required by section 39:3-64, such vehicle shall be equipped with 2 or more lamps which shall exhibit a light substantially white, yellow or amber in color visible from a distance of 500 feet to the front of such vehicle and 2 or more lamps which shall exhibit a red light visible from a distance of 500 feet to the rear. Any lighted headlamps upon a parked vehicle shall be depressed or dimmed.
