39:3-33.1. Veterans buying motor vehicles from United States; temporary identification markers Any person who served in the active military or naval service of the United States, and who has been discharged or released from such service under conditions other than dishonorable, and who purchases a motor vehicle from the War Assets Corporation or any other agency of the United States Government authorized to sell surplus property and has obtained from such corporation or agency a certificate of identification and a temporary identification marker which shall be displayed on such vehicle in accordance with the requirements of section 39:3-33 of the Revised Statutes, may operate such motor vehicle from the place of purchase to any place within the State for the purpose of registering such motor vehicle, without violating any of the provisions of section 39:3-4 of the Revised Statutes.
