2C:40-8. Label cautioning and informing user A portable, oil-burning heating device shall not be sold, offered for sale, or used in this State unless a label is affixed to the device cautioning and informing the user concerning: a. The amount and source of ventilation that is adequate when the device is in operation; b. The type of fuel that should be used in the device; c. The steps that should be followed in order to refuel the device safely; d. The proper placement and handling of the device when it is in operation to prevent fire, burns, and other safety hazards; e. The proper procedures for lighting the device and regulating and extinguishing the flame. L.1983, c. 438, s. 3.
