27:14-36. Restrictions on municipal improvements The proper authorities of any municipality through which any such road runs may make any municipal improvement upon or within the road within the limits of the municipality which may be authorized by law to be made in any of the other public streets or roads of the municipality, but no such improvement shall be made by the municipal authorities which may interfere with or impair the roadway improved under the provisions of this article without the approval and consent of the board of chosen freeholders of the county within which the road is located.
