26:6B-19 Annual report.
19. a. The Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner, in conjunction with the Medical Examiner Review Team, shall issue an annual report, which shall be made publicly available.
b. The annual report shall contain, at a minimum:
(1) the budget and expenditures for each medical examiner office in this State, including its direct and indirect expenses, including a summary of the terms and conditions of each contract for the professional services of the Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner and the office of each county or intercounty medical examiner;
(2) the total number of cases received, reviewed, accepted, and investigated by each medical examiner office;
(3) statistics of determined causes of death; and
(4) an evaluation of the overall performance of each medical examiner office and the medical examiner system as a whole.
